A 35-year-old man from Tickfaw, Louisiana, was arrested on February 25 by agents from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI), part of Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office. Douglas Ray Miller faces 67 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material involving victims under the age of thirteen.
The arrest took place at Miller’s residence on Hwy 1064 in Tickfaw. The investigation began after a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The case involved cooperation between several agencies: the LBI Cyber Crime Unit, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, and East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.
Following his arrest, Miller was transported to Tangipahoa Parish Jail for booking. Bond information has not been released at this time. Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
