Three men have been arrested in Northwest Louisiana for online child exploitation following a coordinated law enforcement operation. The effort, led by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, targeted individuals seeking contact with minors on social media platforms.
The operation involved multiple agencies, including the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation under Attorney General Liz Murrill, as well as sheriff’s offices from Natchitoches, Bossier, Ouachita, and Webster parishes and the Shreveport Police Department.
The suspects arrested are Edwin Roberts II, 35, of Hwy 6 East in Natchitoches; Garrett Godejohn, 24, also of Hwy 6 East in Natchitoches; and David Lee Clark, 35, of Peyton Street in Shreveport. Charges against Roberts include one count each of indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor. Godejohn faces charges for possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and sexual abuse of an animal. Clark is charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.
Roberts and Godejohn were arrested by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office and booked at the local detention center. Clark was taken into custody by Shreveport Police and booked into the city jail. Bond information for all three men has not been released.
Attorney General Liz Murrill stated: “We will continue conducting proactive operations with our partners on the Louisiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to arrest individuals intent on sexually exploiting our children. I want to thank the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Shreveport Police Department for their assistance and hard work on this effort.”
Officials said additional charges may be filed as investigations continue.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
