Agents from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI), operating under Attorney General Liz Murrill, have arrested a 19-year-old resident of St. Martinville on charges related to child sexual abuse materials involving victims under the age of 13.

The suspect, Ronnie J. Alexander of Eunice Drive in St. Martinville, was taken into custody on December 4, 2025. He faces three felony counts under statute 14:81.1 E(5)(a) for possession of child sexual abuse material involving minors younger than 13 years old.

According to authorities, the investigation began after the LBI received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The arrest resulted from a collaborative effort between the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Alexander was booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail. At this time, bond information has not been released.

Officials stated that their investigation is ongoing.
