Jose Alfredo Jimenez-Centeno, a 72-year-old Salvadoran national, was sentenced on June 24, 2025, by United States District Judge Brandon S. Long. He previously pleaded guilty to the illegal re-entry of a removed alien, violating Title 8, United States Code, Section 1326(a). Jimenez-Centeno received a sentence of time served and must pay a $100 mandatory special assessment fee.

Court documents reveal that Jimenez-Centeno re-entered the United States after being deported on August 20, 1996. He pled guilty to the full indictment against him.

Acting U.S. Attorney Simpson commended the efforts of the United States Customs and Border Protection. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Rachal Cassagne from the Narcotics Unit and Jon Maestri from the General Crimes Unit are handling the prosecution.
