A Raceland resident was arrested on February 26 by agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, which operates under Attorney General Liz Murrill. The arrest involved two charges: indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.
The suspect, identified as 36-year-old David Anthony Dufrene of St Mary Street in Raceland, was apprehended following a joint investigation involving the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Dufrene was found and taken into custody in Bayou L’Ourse, Louisiana. He was initially booked into the Assumption Parish Jail as a fugitive before being transferred to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. His bond has been set at $175,000. Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
