A Louisiana woman is seeking justice after allegedly being falsely arrested and imprisoned by local officials. Dawn Pierce filed a complaint on October 22, 2025, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against the Town of Golden Meadow, Mayor Joey Bouziga, Police Chief Michelle Lafont, and Officer Tristin Gaspard. The lawsuit accuses these defendants of conspiring to arrest her without probable cause based on false statements.

The case centers around an incident earlier in 2025 when Pierce shared publicly available lingerie photos of her nephew’s fiancée, Amber Sibley, on social media. These images were from Sibley’s OnlyFans account, a platform known for adult content subscriptions. According to the complaint, this act was not criminal; however, it led to tensions with her nephew Dylan Rousse and Sibley. Despite initially refusing to take action due to the lack of any crime committed by Pierce, Chief Lafont was allegedly pressured by Mayor Bouziga following Rousse’s insistence to proceed with an arrest.

Pierce’s complaint details how Mayor Bouziga directed Chief Lafont to obtain a warrant under false pretenses. It claims that Lafont provided perjured statements to secure the warrant and that Officer Gaspard executed the arrest at Pierce’s home in front of her children. This ordeal reportedly caused significant emotional distress and health issues for Pierce, including exacerbating her diabetes condition.

In response to these events, Pierce is seeking accountability for violations of her constitutional rights under both federal and state laws. Her claims include false arrest and imprisonment, violation of First and Fourth Amendment rights, assault and battery, infliction of emotional distress, abuse of process, and municipal liability among others. She requests declaratory relief as well as compensatory damages for the harm suffered.

Representing Dawn Pierce are attorneys Hope Phelps and William Most from Most & Associates in New Orleans. The case is presided over by judges from the Eastern District Court under Case No. 2:25-cv-2178.
