A woman from Louisiana has filed a lawsuit alleging discrimination and harassment during a job interview process with a loan company. Hailey Lovasz, the plaintiff, submitted her complaint to the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana on November 24, 2025, targeting Gulfco of Louisiana, LLC, doing business as Tower Loan of Jena and Tower Loan of Mississippi, LLC.

The case centers around events that unfolded after Lovasz applied for a position at Tower Loan/Gulfco in Jena, Louisiana. According to the complaint, she was contacted by Laterrion Green, the branch manager at Tower Loan in Jena. Green arranged an unusual meeting at Jena Park on July 9, 2024. During this meeting, what began as a standard interview quickly took an inappropriate turn when Green allegedly made personal comments about Lovasz’s appearance and suggested inappropriate behavior. “You are beautiful,” he reportedly said, adding that if he were single and not married, he would be interested in her beyond professional terms.

Lovasz expressed discomfort with Green’s remarks and suggested he consider marriage counseling. Despite her clear unease and attempts to leave the situation, Green persisted with his advances until finally offering her the job to allow her departure. Following this encounter, Lovasz reported the incident to management but was never hired or compensated for her experience. She claims that this interaction led to severe emotional distress and economic losses.

In response to these allegations of gender discrimination and harassment under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (as amended), Lovasz is seeking declaratory relief from the court to acknowledge the illegality of Gulfco’s employment practices. She also demands compensatory damages for lost wages and benefits due to discriminatory practices she endured during what should have been a professional hiring process.

The plaintiff’s legal representation comes from Allison A. Jones and Zachary B. Mayfield of Downer, Jones, Marino & Wilhite law firm based in Shreveport, Louisiana. The case identification number is 3:25-cv-01862.
