A Louisiana woman has filed a lawsuit alleging employment discrimination and harassment, shedding light on the pervasive issue of workplace misconduct. Hailey Lovasz filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana on November 24, 2025, against Gulfco of Louisiana, LLC, doing business as Tower Loan of Jena and Tower Loan of Mississippi, LLC.

The case centers around an alleged incident that occurred during Lovasz’s interview process with Tower Loan/Gulfco of Louisiana LLC. On July 6, 2024, Lovasz applied for a position at their Jena location. During the interview process, she was contacted by Laterrion Green, the Branch Manager at Tower Loan in Jena. Green requested an in-person meeting to further discuss her application. The meeting took place on July 9, 2024, at Jena Park.

Initially focused on job-related questions, Green’s behavior soon shifted to inappropriate comments about Lovasz’s appearance and unsolicited personal remarks. According to the complaint, Green said to Lovasz: “You are beautiful… I am surprised that there aren’t men trying to get you.” He further suggested that if he were single and not married, he would pursue her romantically.

Feeling uncomfortable and harassed by these comments, Lovasz attempted to leave the meeting. Despite this discomforting encounter, Green informed her that she was hired and scheduled her first day for July 10th. However, after reporting the incident to management—including Benji Hemphill, Director of Operations for Louisiana—Lovasz was neither hired nor re-interviewed.

Lovasz claims that this experience has caused her severe mental anguish and emotional distress. She reported receiving harassing text messages from Green’s wife following the incident. In response to these events and lack of corrective action from Tower Loan’s management, Lovasz filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and received a Notice of Right to Sue.

The lawsuit accuses Gulfco/Tower Loan of gender discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended by the Civil Rights Act of 1991. It argues that Defendant is liable for Green’s actions under respondeat superior since they occurred within his employment scope.

Lovasz seeks declaratory judgment stating that Defendant’s practices violated federal law; back pay with interest; compensatory damages under 42 U.S.C Section 1981a; punitive damages; attorneys’ fees; court costs; and any other relief deemed just by the court.

Representing Hailey Lovasz are attorneys Allison A. Jones and Zachary B. Mayfield from Downer Jones Marino & Wilhite based in Shreveport. The case has been assigned Case ID: 1:25-cv-01862 but lacks specific judge assignments as per available documentation.
