The suspect, identified as Jeremy Paul Richard, age 30, was taken into custody at his residence on Homer Richard Road in Opelousas and booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail. Bond information is pending assignment.
The arrest followed a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led to an investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing.
