New Orleans woman receives probation for drug-related charges

Kianna Scott, a 24-year-old resident of New Orleans, has been sentenced following her guilty plea to charges related to the distribution and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine. Scott was sentenced on June 10, 2025, to five years of probation along with a $100 mandatory special assessment fee. The charges stem from her use of a telephone to assist another individual in the distribution of narcotics within the Eastern District of Louisiana.

The investigation into Scott’s activities was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Orleans Field Division Office. Several local law enforcement agencies also contributed to the case, including the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, Saint Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Saint John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Harahan Police Department. The prosecution is being managed by Assistant United States Attorney Lynn E. Schiffman from the Narcotics Unit.
