Kendrick White, Sr., a 40-year-old resident of New Orleans, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to the sexual abuse of a minor. The indictment, issued on September 11, 2025, includes one count of sexual abuse and one count of sexual abuse of a minor.

According to court documents, the alleged incident took place on or about November 22, 2023. White is accused of knowingly engaging in a sexual act with a female minor who was fifteen years old at the time. The offense reportedly occurred within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States.

If convicted, White faces up to fifteen years in prison for Count One and up to life imprisonment for Count Two. Additional penalties include lifetime supervised release, fines up to $250,000, mandatory registration as a sex offender, and payment of a $100 special assessment fee per count.

Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson stated: “An indictment is merely a charge and that the guilt of the defendant must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.”

The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. Project Safe Childhood coordinates resources among federal, state, and local agencies to prosecute offenders and rescue victims. Simpson acknowledged the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s role in investigating this case. Assistant United States Attorney Jordan Ginsberg is leading the prosecution.
