Larsen Farrell, a 35-year-old resident of New Orleans, has been indicted for possession with intent to distribute over five kilograms of cocaine. The indictment was issued on May 30, 2025, as announced by Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson.

Farrell is accused of violating 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(A). If found guilty, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years in prison, which could extend to life imprisonment. Additionally, he could be fined up to $10 million and would face at least five years of supervised release along with a mandatory $100 special assessment fee.

The indictment states that on or about May 22, 2025, within the Eastern District of Louisiana, Farrell knowingly and intentionally possessed more than five kilograms of a substance containing cocaine with the intent to distribute it.

Acting U.S. Attorney Simpson emphasized that the indictment is merely an allegation and that guilt must be established beyond a reasonable doubt.

The investigation is being conducted by multiple agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Border Patrol, Kenner Police Department, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Gretna Major Crimes Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Rachal Cassagne from the Narcotics Unit is handling the prosecution.
