Daniel Aldair Quezada-Quezada, also known as Cristobal Flores, was sentenced on April 1 to time served and a $200 mandatory special assessment fee for re-entry of a removed alien and illegal use of a Social Security number, according to U.S. Attorney David I. Courcelle. U.S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance issued the sentence in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The case concerns immigration enforcement and the misuse of identification documents in employment settings. Quezada-Quezada has been detained in federal prison since February 19, 2025.
According to court documents, Quezada-Quezada is a native and citizen of Mexico who was previously deported from the United States on June 9, 2020. He does not have lawful immigration status or any claim to U.S. citizenship. On December 25, 2024, he was arrested by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle, and driving without a license in Terrebonne Parish.
Federal officers later visited Gulf South Services Inc., where Quezada-Quezada claimed employment using identification under the name Cristobal Flores. He had provided both a South Carolina State Identification Card and Social Security Card with that name and completed pre-employment forms stating he was a U.S. citizen authorized to work under that Social Security number. A subsequent investigation determined that the Social Security number belonged to an actual U.S. citizen unrelated to Quezada-Quezada.
U.S Attorney Courcelle said: “I praise the work of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, the Louisiana State Police and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office in investigating this matter.” Assistant United States Attorney Carter K.D. Guice Jr., from the General Crimes Unit handled prosecution.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America—a nationwide initiative utilizing resources from multiple Department of Justice programs aimed at combating illegal immigration and associated criminal activity.
