Agents from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, led by Attorney General Liz Murrill, have arrested a man from Doyline on multiple charges related to child sexual abuse material and the unlawful use of social media.
Kage Robert Paul Waters, 33, was taken into custody at his residence on Gas Plant Road in Doyline, Webster Parish, on March 3. He faces 47 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material under LA R.S. 14.81.1 and 15 counts of unlawful use of a social networking website under LA R.S. 14.91.5.
According to authorities, the investigation began after agents received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Waters is identified as a registered sex offender.
The arrest resulted from cooperation between the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office. After his arrest, Waters was booked into Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. Information regarding his bond has not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
“All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty,” stated officials.
