Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents, together with federal law enforcement partners, rearrested a former member of the Louisiana National Guard on April 1 for production and possession of child sexual abuse material.
The case involves 19-year-old Luxe Arlen Thomas, who was previously arrested in January by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation. The earlier charges included two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, one count each of misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with juveniles, and obstruction of justice. Thomas is now facing new federal charges: production and possession of child sexual abuse material under Title 18 United States Code sections 2251(a) and 2252A(a)(5)(B).
According to the press release, “Thomas was arrested on April 1, 2026, out of the Western District of Louisiana on the following federal charges: Production and Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.” The arrest was part of an ongoing joint investigation involving Homeland Security Investigations RAC Lafayette and the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation. Officials said that after being alerted to the investigation at that time, “the Louisiana National Guard was fully cooperative during the investigation” and immediately relieved Thomas from his duties.
