Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a Michigan man for possession of child sexual abuse material involving victims under the age of 13, according to a March 16 announcement.

Jacob-Travis Martin-Joseph Cooper, age 30, was arrested in Traverse City, Michigan, on February 20 after agents received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Cooper faces 20 felony counts related to child sexual abuse material under the age of 13. Investigators determined that Cooper possessed the illegal material while living in Iberia Parish, Louisiana, before moving to Michigan. Through cooperation between the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Department, Cooper was located and arrested on an active warrant issued by the 16th Judicial District Court in Iberia Parish. He is currently held at Grand Traverse County Jail awaiting extradition to Louisiana.
