Agents from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, part of Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office, have arrested a 26-year-old man on multiple charges related to child sexual abuse material. Garrett Alvin April was taken into custody on November 12, 2025, on Buck Provost Road in Pearl River.
April faces 90 counts under Louisiana law for possession of child sexual abuse material involving victims under the age of thirteen. The arrest followed a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The case is the result of a joint investigation that included the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Fugitive Apprehension Unit, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, the 22nd Judicial District ICAC Task Force, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Pearl River Police Department.
Following his arrest, April was transported to St. Tammany Parish Jail for booking. Bond information has not been released at this time. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
“All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
