Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation has arrested a woman from Iota, Cassie Nichole John, for possession of child sexual abuse materials and images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of an animal.

According to authorities, John, 37, was taken into custody on December 4, 2025. She faces three felony counts under LA R.S.14:81.1E(5)(a) related to child sexual abuse materials involving victims under thirteen years old and seven felony counts under LA R.S.14:89.3 for sexual abuse of an animal.
