Agents from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, part of Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office, arrested a Hammond resident on March 4, 2026. The individual, identified as 26-year-old James Michael Hill, was taken into custody at his home on Dee Ann Drive. He faces multiple charges related to the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile under the age of thirteen.
Hill has been charged with one count each of molestation of a juvenile under thirteen (LA R.S. 14:81.2 D(1)), first degree rape with a victim under thirteen (LA R.S. 14:42 A(4)), oral sexual battery with a victim under thirteen (LA R.S. 14:43.3 C(2)), and indecent behavior with a juvenile (LA R.S. 14:81). He also faces twelve counts for possession and one count for production of child sexual abuse material involving victims under thirteen (LA R.S. 14:81.1).
The arrest followed a joint investigation involving the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, and the Hammond Police Department.
Attorney General Liz Murrill stated, “While our hearts break for victims of child abuse, our resolve never will. If you hurt our kids, you will receive Louisiana justice.”
After his arrest, Hill was initially booked into Hammond City Jail before being transported to Tangipahoa Parish Jail. No bond information is available at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
