A woman from Gonzales, Louisiana, has been sentenced to more than ten years in federal prison for her involvement in a child pornography case. Hannah Kinchen, 41, received a sentence of 125 months from U.S. District Judge Brian A. Jackson after she was convicted of receiving child sexual abuse material that was produced by a photographer she had arranged.
After completing her prison term, Kinchen will be under supervised release for five years and is required to undergo sex offender treatment and register as a sex offender.
According to statements made during her guilty plea, Kinchen communicated online with a photographer who identified as a pedophile about the modeling career of a minor victim. Between July 2020 and February 2021, she coordinated and transported the minor to photoshoots in Louisiana and other locations. During these sessions, Kinchen was present while the minor was photographed wearing revealing clothing such as thongs and G-string bikinis. She also assisted in posing the victim. Some of these images were classified as child pornography and were later sold.
On August 1, 2020, the photographer sent most of the images to Kinchen via an internet file-sharing service; she then downloaded them onto her computer.
“This administration will continue to make the safety of our children a top priority. Thanks to the FBI and Assistant United States Attorney Kristen Craig for their hard work in this case,” said U.S. Attorney Kurt L. Wall.
Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Tapp of the FBI’s New Orleans Field Office stated: “The defendant in this case preyed on an innocent child. The FBI and our partners will do everything in our power to remove child predators from our great nation.”
The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated this matter, which was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kristen Lundin Craig.
This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at fighting child sexual exploitation by coordinating efforts among federal, state, and local agencies. More information can be found at https://www.justice.gov/psc.
