Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit has secured a guilty plea from Patrick Jackson, a former employee at Pinecrest Supports and Services Center in Pineville, Louisiana. Jackson was seen on video picking up a disabled victim and throwing him against a wall at the facility, which supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Jackson, 30, of Horseshoe Drive in Alexandria, pleaded guilty as charged on December 18, 2025, in the 9th Judicial District Court to one count of simple battery of persons with infirmities under Louisiana law.
The incident occurred while Jackson was employed at the Pinecrest center. Video evidence showed him lifting the victim and throwing him against a wall before standing over the individual and yelling. He was arrested for this incident on August 23, 2023.
Judge Doggett presided over the sentencing. Although Jackson’s sentence was deferred under Article 894, he was placed on six months’ probation supervised by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office. Conditions include paying $277.50 in court costs, refraining from criminal conduct, reporting to probation within 24 hours, and exclusion from participation in the Medicaid program for five years.
The arrest and conviction followed an investigation conducted by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
