Attorney General Liz Murrill announced on May 1 that the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a man from Jefferson Parish for possessing videos depicting the rape of children under the age of 13.

The case highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address crimes involving child sexual abuse material. The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided a tip about images uploaded to an internet search engine. Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on Honore Drive, where they determined that child sexual abuse material had been uploaded from that location.

According to the Attorney General’s office, “At the conclusion of the search warrant execution, Leboeuf was found to be in possession of at least two videos of children under the age of 13 being raped. He was subsequently booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.” The suspect, identified as Christopher M. Leboeuf, age 60, faces two counts related to possession of child sexual abuse material involving victims under thirteen years old. Bond information is not available at this time.

Multiple agencies contributed to this investigation, including the Orleans Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, St. Charles Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and Kenner Police Department.
